Hi hi hi! It’s me, Elsie! And oh my goodness, WHAT a night! There were monsters at the door.

Actual monsters. Some tiny, some tall, some with glowing sticks and scary masks. I barked, I bounced, I wiggled — “Let me at them!” I said.

But Russ didn’t panic. He didn’t shout. He just said, calm as ever, “Thank you, Elsie.” Then he looked at the door. Then he looked back at me. And just like that, I knew: he had it covered.

Thank. Look. Reflect.

Charlie? He didn’t even move. He just gave me one of his “puppy, please” looks and went back to lying down like royalty. And Mooby? Ugh. He muttered something about “fools in costumes” before curling tighter into his chair.

I suppose not every knock at the door is a danger. Maybe next time, I won’t need to bark so much. Well… maybe.

Love, wiggles, and wags,

Elsie
