Snow! Mud! More Mud!

Oh oh oh! Snow! Snow! Snow! I dreamed of it, falling from the sky, soft and white. I bounced through it, I rolled in it, I chased Charlie and he chased me back. We played until our paws were soaked and our noses frozen. Best day ever!

But then… I woke up. No snow. Just mud. Charlie snoring on his bed. Russ tapping away on his laptop.

So I tried. I wiggled, I stretched, I pawed, hoping Russ would notice me. But he didn’t. He stayed calm, steady, not fussing me on my terms. And I remembered: I don’t need to demand attention. Calm leadership means I can settle too.

Maybe snow will come another day. Until then, mud will do.
